However, the latest update reveals the fight is back on. With a new date set for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, confirmed by Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). However, UFC veteran Chael Sonnen has now raised concerns about Tyson’s preparation and condition.
Chael Sonnen Casts Doubt on Tyson’s Readiness for November Showdown with Jake Paul
Chael Sonnen recently talked about Mike Tyson’s health after the boxing legend withdrew from his anticipated bout against Jake Paul. The boxing legend postponed the fight due to an ulcer flare-up, rescheduling it for November.
“Tyson will have longer to train, okay great so that would be better so we’re now admit Tyson not have been ready in July if he could wait until November he will now be ready. He will now have more time is that what you’re saying and then all of sudden you go well not exactly,” Sonnen said.
Notably, the former heavyweight champion experienced a health emergency while flying from Miami to Los Angeles.
According to his representative, Tyson required medical attention after becoming nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up. The Paul-Tyson fight will be streamed live on Netflix and sanctioned as a professional bout and the results will impact their pro records.
