Ukrainian boxing superstar Vasily Lomachenko has no plans of just sitting around while his people get slaughtered by the Russians.
Ukrainian media outlets have reported the three-division champion has joined the Belgorod-Dniester Terror Defence Battalion. The 34-year-old is pictured carrying a weapon and wearing camouflage army fatigues.
He becomes the latest boxer to take up the fight amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He now joins former boxers Vitali, the current Mayor of Kyiv, and Wladimir Klitschko, who also signed up as a reserve for the territorial forces, defending the city of Kyiv.
