There’s no doubt that Ryan Garcia is one of the most interesting characters to come out of the combat sports realm. From fighting at the top against some of the fiercest boxers to making some of the most controversial moves on the internet, Garcia does it all. And now, ‘KingRy,’ who previously showed interest in fighting in the UFC against Sean O’Malley, is considering something entirely new: bare-knuckle fighting.
Ryan Garcia recently posted on X, saying he’s looking for a bare-knuckle opponent. He threw out the challenge, basically asking who was down to throw hands with him.
Undoubtedly, ‘KingRy’ has already taken things to the next level in the boxing ring. But with this new move, he’s aiming to elevate it all even further. However, the question is, is he really ready to see who’s got the guts to step up, or is this just another one of Garcia’s trolling tweets?
But if he’s serious about it, David Feldman from BKFC would definitely welcome him with open arms. Garcia doesn’t just bring his boxing skills; he also brings millions of eyeballs. His involvement would be a huge win for the promotion. Meanwhile, Ryan Garcia has also shown interest in the UFC.
Ryan Garcia Is Also Open to Joining UFC
Shortly after Garcia reportedly announced his retirement, which he later dismissed, he asked Dana White to sign him to the UFC. This isn’t the first time Garcia has made such a callout. He’s previously claimed he could easily defeat several fighters, with notable banter involving Sean O’Malley. So when he tweeted about this, all eyes turned to Dana White.
But White threw cold water on Garcia’s dream, saying he’s suspended and can’t fight anywhere at the moment. Still, seeing him in the cage with top MMA fighters would be wild. While suspended, Garcia could use the time to train hard and be ready for a quick switch once he’s cleared.
