Many doubted Ryan’s ability to take on Devin Haney, given his antics on social media and his weird behavior in the pre-fight press conference. Many thought that Ryan was just not focused on his bout against Haney, and Garcia even came in three pounds heavy at the weigh-ins. Ryan shut everyone up and defied the odds as he beat Devin Haney in a twelve-round bout.
Garcia’s speech and precision were too much for Devin to deal with. Garcia knocked down Devin Haney three times in the matchup. Devin Haney did well in the middle of the fight, but once Ryan got into the rhythm of things, it was all him until the end.
