Gervonta Davis will take on Ryan Garcia on April 22nd on DAZN & Showtime PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It is the most highly anticipated boxing bout in the past few years that is sure to break several records.
One month ahead of the fight, Ryan Garcia is causing controversy when he stated that Gervonta put in some crazy stipulations in their contract for them to even fight.
Garcia says Gervonta added that he can only drink water and eat days out of the week just to make Tank feel comfortable.
However, Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, took to Twitter and disputed what Garcia said.
“@RyanGarcia bro stop all these lies about weight drain/rehydration that Tank made you do. For starters this was an agreement between his manager and your manager and YOU agreed to everything I sent to Golden Boy. Tank ain’t request shit, he jus wants to beat your ass on 22 Apr.”

Unfortunately for him, a video of Tank talking about the very thing has surfaced.
Garcia agreed to a rehydration clause that prohibits him from gaining more than 10 pounds above the contracted maximum on the day of their fight.
After nearly a decade of fighting less popular fighters from 126 to 140, the 28-year-old Gervonta is facing his first star in 24-year-old Ryan Garcia.
Davis and Garcia will square off April 22 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Their 12-round bout, which will be contested at a catch weight of 136 pounds, will headline a four-fight Showtime Pay-Per-View broadcast.
