On July 13, Roman Gonzalez will lock horns with Rober Barrera at Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua, Nicaragua. Gonzalez will be looking to rebound from the loss to Juan Francisco Estrada, while Barrera is looking for a 4th straight KO/TKO win.
In his last fight, Chocolatito lost via majority decision to Estrada for the Ring and vacant WBC super flyweight titles. On the other hand, Claggett is coming off a second-round TKO win over Victor Berrio in December 2023. Gonzalez vs. Barrera will be at bantamweight.

According to Sporty Salaries, Nicaragua’s own Roman Gonzalez, returning to the squared circle after one and a half years, will bag $100K. On the other hand, the Columbian Rober Barrera will pocket $50K, half of the former pound-for-pound king.

The 31-year-old Barrera is slightly taller at 5′ 4.5″ with a reach of 66.5″. Over the course of 32 fights, he has secured 27 wins, including 17 by knockout, and has faced 5 defeats.
Betting Odds On Both The Fighters
According to SportsbetListings, Gonzalez is a humongous -4000 betting favorite over Barrera, a +1400 betting underdog. A $100 wager on Lopez will yield a $102.5 payout if victorious. The equivalent wager on Claggett will yield a $1500 payout.
Gonzalez and Barrera will likely make their ring walk at the Polideportivo Alexis Arguello, Managua, in Nicaragua, at approximately 10:00 PM ET on Saturday, July 14, 3:00 AM BST in the United Kingdom. US viewers can watch the fight on ESPN+.
