Amanda Serrano was the people’s champ after her fight with Katie Taylor on Friday night.
The Puerto Rican boxer put on the best show of the night before Mike Tyson and Jake Paul headlined the Netflix event. However, Taylor was somehow adjudged to have won the fight by unanimous decision, retaining her super lightweight championship, much to the audience’s disgust.
Many felt Taylor should have lost after landing several headbutts on her opponents. The champion had a point deducted for doing just that, but she still ended up winning.
One of those headbutts caught Serrano above the eye, opening a nasty gash.

The cut looked gruesome on television, but Amanda Serrano has since posted a selfie showing it was a lot worse.
“To my fans I’m going to always give it everything I have,” she wrote. “I’m a ruthless warrior & Katie is my buddy but Damn her best attribute is her head. No punching power but hard a** head lol.”

One of Serrano’s coaches also called the Ireland native out for being dirty.
“She’s so dirty, she leads with her head man, she’s such a nice person outside [the ring] but when she goes in there, she’s so dirty,” he said. “A lot of her opponents have been cut and headbutted, she leads with her head man.”
