Can Jamie Munguia hand Canelo Alvarez his third defeat?
Canelo Alvarez is considered one of this generation’s greatest boxers. The Mexican is a multiple-weight world champion and has cemented himself in the sport’s history.
While Alvarez is set to return to the squared circle this weekend, many believe he could lose the fight.
For those unaware, Canelo Alvarez has a professional record of 60-2-2. He suffered his first professional boxing loss against Floyd Mayweather back in 2013. The bout remains to be one of the biggest fights to have ever taken place in the history of boxing.
However, it wasn’t ideal for him as he lost the fight via majority decision. After this, Alvarez went undefeated and won world titles in multiple divisions before challenging Dmitry Bivol for the light heavyweight title in 2022.
However, Canelo Alvarez was outclassed in the bout and lost it via unanimous decision. With that said, regarding the two losses of Alvarez’s career, he will undoubtedly look to finish the job this weekend.
