Oleksandr Usyk is at the peak of his career with an undefeated record, cementing his legacy in the heavyweight division. Usyk recently defeated Tyson Fury in a rematch and successfully defended his titles. However, unlike Fury, who owns several luxurious timepieces, ‘The Cat’ revealed that he proudly sported a fake watch.
The Ukrainian fighter’s recent opponent, ‘The Gypsy King,’ is known for owning jaw-dropping custom timepieces and sought-after grail watches, including brands like Jacob & Co. and Rolex. In contrast, Usyk admitted to wearing a Chinese replica of a Rolex that he purchased for $100 while in Turkey. In a video, Usyk shared:
“I was boasting a little, and showed the cameraman my watch. It’s a Chinese Rolex. I was in Turkey fir training and saw guys selling Rolexes on the beach. I thought if I bought one, no one would guess that it was a fake. So I bought it for $100.”
As Usyk pointed out, no one realized the watch was a fake. Considering ‘The Cat’ has earned substantial fight purses, fans would have assumed the watch to be authentic. However, with his latest payday from the Fury fight, Usyk could easily add a luxury timepiece to his collection.
