Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya are the most prominent names in combat sports. White is the president of the UFC and has led the organization to become a multi-billion dollar organization. Meanwhile, Oscar De La Hoya is a Hall of Fame boxer and now a boxing promoter who manages several younger stars worldwide.
The duo is well known for having disagreements in the past. In a recent interview, Dana White discussed whether he would be open to getting back together with Oscar in the future, and White gave a rather interesting answer.
Dana White on Oscar De La Hoya
Dana White has often expressed his dislike of Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar De La Hoya made a rather disrespectful remark on the bout between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. The UFC President was quizzed on the former boxer and his equation with him in an interview with Shannon Sharpe. White said,
Me and Oscar are never gonna be cool. Look at anybody who has ever dealt with Oscar De La Hoya.
The 54-year-old clarified that he’s never gonna be friends with Oscar De La Hoya. White revealed that no one has ever gotten along with Oscar in the past. In a recent press conference, Canelo Alvarez also made massive accusations against De La Hoya of fraud in the pre-fight press conference of his fight against Jamie Munguia.
Oscar has previously represented many major boxing superstars and had a fallout with most of them. While it is true that Oscar has had a fallout with many of his fighters alongside Dana White, the boxing promoter has maintained his innocence and bashed away any reports of any wrongdoings.
