According to the streaming giant, Netflix reportedly had over 60 million households worldwide tuning in to watch the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson boxing match. The event was shrouded in controversy; however, fans saw Iron Mike Tyson return.
Controversy came from the fight that preceded the main event between Paul and Tyson. Most people believe that Amanda Serrano was robbed of a win after a hard-fought battle and rematch against Katie Taylor.
Following the Taylor vs. Serrano debacle, Jake Paul made his ring walk, or drive, as he entered a custom low-rider alongside his older brother Logan. Mike, on the other hand, walked to the ring to make his return to pro boxing after nearly 20 years.
While the fight wouldn’t go Mike’s way, the fact that he could enter the ring just three months after nearly dying was a feat. Earlier today, Tyson took to X to tell fans about how he almost died ahead of his return to boxing against prizefighter Jake Paul.

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time,” he said. After the fight last night, it seemed as though Mike wanted to get in the ring again, but clearly, he’s changed his mind.

Tyson continued by adding, “I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.” It was reported that Tyson had an Ulcer flare in June, causing a three-month flight delay.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for,” Mike wrote before thanking everyone.
While the fight may have been one of the most controversial ever, everyone can agree that Mike Tyson is a warrior. The question that remains is where Jake Paul goes from here.
