Manny Pacquiao stepped back in the ring this past weekend in a fight with Yordenis Ugas at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada.
If it was his final fight of his career, which ended in a loss, it left him with wounds he would never forget. His wife uploaded video of her spoon-feeding him and it appeared he was unable to open his eyes at all.
After the loss to the 35-year-old Cuban, Pacquiao signaled his in-the-ring career may be finished.
“Let me rest first before my family and I make a decision,” said the 42-year-old with a 62-8-2 career record.
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Pacquiao had to see an ophthalmologist this week after the 12-round fight that was followed by his left eye needing five stitches to close.
“In my entire career, Ugas was one of the easiest opponents,” Pacquiao said of his opponent, via The Athletic’s Lance Pugmire.
