Deji Olatunji recently stepped into the ring for Misfits’s Boxing X Series 19 show in Qatar, facing off against Dawood Savage. What was supposed to be a straightforward match turned into a somewhat awkward display of boxing skills. Despite ultimately securing a knockout victory in the third round, Deji’s performance left much to be desired. He wasn’t exactly dancing around the ring like a nimble Muhammad Ali, and his brother KSI was quick to notice.
After the fight, Deji took to Instagram with a self-reflective post, admitting his performance wasn’t up to his own standards. He acknowledged the need to take boxing more seriously and promised to return better than ever. But in true brotherly fashion, KSI couldn’t resist throwing a bit of playful shade his way.
“Bro says this every time. We’re bored now.”

KSI later toned down his commentary, suggesting Deji should start fighting more challenging opponents and stop with the warm-up matches. It’s the kind of tough love that only siblings can genuinely pull off – part mockery, part genuine coaching.
Deji himself seemed painfully aware of his shortcomings. In an interview with DAZN, he candidly admitted he should have knocked out Savage in the first round. Weight issues and a lengthy 18-month layoff clearly impacted his performance. He came into the fight 10 pounds heavier than his opponent, which didn’t exactly scream “peak athletic condition.”
