On April 27, Jose Ramirez and Rances Barthelemy will fight at the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, California. Ramirez is a former world champion. The 12-round super lightweight bout and the action on the undercard will stream globally on DAZN.
Ramirez (28-1) is a former super lightweight champion of the WBC and WBO. He hopes to return to the division’s top after Josh Taylor defeated him in 2021 for the belts. Since then, the former Olympic hopeful has defeated Richard Commey and Jose Pedraza in two fights.
After switching from Top Rank to Golden Boy, 31-year-old Ramirez is eager for greater chances in the upcoming phase of his career.
Former IBF super featherweight and lightweight champion Barthelemy (30-2-1) has a 4-2-1 record as of 2018. It will be Ramirez’s first bout since defeating Omar Juarez in May 2023.

In the co-main event, Thomas Dulorme (26-6-1, 17 KOs) of Carolina, Puerto Rico, will fight the unbeaten knockout monster Vergil Ortiz Jr. (20-0, 20 KOs) of Grand Prairie, Texas, in a 10-round super welterweight bout.
In a 10-round lightweight fight, Oscar Duarte (26-2-1, 21 KOs) and former world champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr. (33-5-1, 15 KOs) will face off.
In a bitter rematch, unbeaten flyweight world champion Marlen Esparza (14-1, 1 KOs) will defend her belts against former Buenos Aires, Argentina, WBC champion Gabriela Alaniz (14-1, 6 KOs) in a 10-round championship fight.
In a 10-round fight, Raul Curiel (14-0, 12 KOs), the holder of the NABF Welterweight Title, will defend it against Jorge Marron Jr. (20-4-2, 7 KOs). Curiel has been dominating opponents with successive knockouts; during his most recent fight in January, he was observed thoroughly demolishing Elias Diaz.
