Upcoming Boxing Match: Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz Confirmed
Masvidal prevailed in their first encounter inside the UFC Octagon, controlling the first three rounds before a medical stoppage due to cuts sustained by Diaz. The ceremonial “BMF” championship, which can now be defended within the UFC, was the subject of the first fight.
Masvidal lost his next four UFC fights before ending his career as a competitive fighter. Although Masvidal is technically still under contract with the organisation, the UFC agreed to allow the fight. In January, it was announced that Masvidal and Diaz had agreed to a boxing showdown in 2024.

The announcement of Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal thrilled the boxing fans, as they commented on X:
After competing in the UFC from 2007 till his last fight in September 2022, Diaz is one of the most well-known fighters in mixed martial arts. After three fights on the card were rearranged at the last minute, Diaz squared up against Tony Ferguson in that decisive match. In the fourth round, Diaz secured victory via guillotine choke, capping off an explosive UFC career.
In August, Diaz, 38, made his boxing debut against Jake Paul, losing a 10-round, 185-pound fight by unanimous decision. It was his first fight in combat sports since leaving the UFC in 2022, and it was also his boxing debut.
Masvidal, 39, retired from mixed martial arts in 2023, but he hasn’t competed since. As a promoter of Gamebred Boxing and Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA, he has made a significant contribution to the combat sports industry.
