Boxing can be quite the brutal sport at times.
Despite the heavy trash talking, respect is usually given within the fight and after it by both fighters. However, that was not the case in Memphis, Tennessee over the weekend.
Jayson Santana is a highly thought of fighter who was taking on Kenneth Jamerson, who was coming into the fight with a record of 06. Santaan was expected to not have much trouble with him.
However, when Jamerson went to touch gloves after the first bell rang, Sanatan decided to take advantage of it.
A quick 1-2, left and right sent Jamerson down to the canvas. Jamerson was confused as he would go on to lsoe despite his best efforts to regain his composure as he tried to figure out why he was punched while trying to touch gloves.
Nobody is a fan of cheap shots like this.

The most notable incident of this happening was back in 2011 when Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Victor Ortiz in impressive fashion by a fourth round knockout.
Mayweather, then 41-0, met young challenger Ortiz, 29-2-2, and the Las Vegas crowd packed into The MGM Grand saw some genuinely crazy stuff unfold. Ortiz threw a ton of punches in the fourth as none of them would land, but then he would leap and headbutt Mayweather out of frustration.
The crowd went nuts, while Floyd was furious. The ref called a time-out and deducted Ortiz a point. Ortiz was then all apologetic, wanting to give Mayweather a hug and touch gloves.
While continuing to apologize and have his hands down, Mayweather cracked him with two shots to the face that sent Ortiz down to the ground.
The fight was over. It may have sucked, but it was legal.
Just like Ortiz, the boxer above just learned a valuable lesson.
