Jake Paul has sent out a clarification about his upcoming fight against Mike Tyson. Paul is set to lock horns against Tyson inside the squared circle in July this year.
The highly anticipated fight will end at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Earlier, it was suggested that this would be an exhibition contest. However, it was later revealed that this will be a pro-fight with slightly different rules.
Ever since the announcement, Jake Paul has been criticized for fighting a 57-year-old retired fighter. However, it looks like he wasn’t the one who asked for it to be a pro fight.
In a recent episode of his podcast, he said:
“They’re just going to say he’s old and you disrespected him and all that sh*t, but I just want to make it clear. Mike Tyson was the one who wanted it to be a pro-fight. Mike got into training camp and called up people on my team and were like ‘Let’s do a pro fight, is Jake down?'”

Speaking about the same, former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua expressed his thoughts. Interestingly, he backed Paul to get the job done.
“I think Jake Paul wins because of Youth. That’s the only thing. I personally think influencer boxing is really good. I think Jake Paul brings all these people into boxing which benefits everyone else”
That said, it remains to be seen as to what happens when the two lock horns inside the squared circle.
