Mike Tyson may not be able to fight Jake Paul after the former heavyweight champion experienced a medical problem on Sunday while traveling.
According to Ryan Glasspiegel and Matt Ehalt of the New York Post, Tyson’s agents verified that he is “doing great” following an ulcer flare-up that left him feeling queasy and lightheaded just before boarding a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
“Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great,” Tyson’s representatives said in an email. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
Following the revelation of information on Mike Tyson’s medical emergency on Sunday during a cross-country flight, Jake Paul made his first remarks to the public on Monday.
The battle between Tyson and Paul is expected to take place in Arlington, Texas, on July 20. Paul quickly refuted any rumors that the bout would not take place as planned.
“You love to make s–t up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed,” Paul wrote on X.

“But what I promise to the people on July 20th: Mike will be put to sleep, and he will feel my power,” Paul said. “I will go down as the man who put Tyson to sleep for the last time.”
This fright for Tyson comes ahead of his battle against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium. Since the bout was approved, it will be recorded on both boxers’ professional records.
