Jake Paul has come up with another excuse for his loss to Tommy Fury and it may be the best one yet.
The YouTuber, now also a boxer, lost for the first time in his young career, suffering a defeat via split decision in Saudi Arabia last month. To be fair, Paul has handled the loss surprisingly well but has dished out a few excuses since, even blaming Drake.
He has also cited jet lag and illness since the loss.
His latest excuse surfaced while on his brother Logan’s podcast IMPAULSIVE, where he claimed that a wet dream from the night before the fight was one of the reasons he lost.
Jake said he abstained from sex for two weeks in order to build up testosterone so he could be more aggressive in the ring but experienced an unprompted release while in bed the night before.
“Do you think your wet dream played a part in it at all?” he was asked by Logan.
“I don’t know if we should talk about this,” he replied, seemingly surprised by his brother’s question.

Logan pressed, however, noting he had a similar thing happen to him before he fought KSI in 2019.
“I do wanna talk about it because I know you didn’t want to, but mum said, ‘Jake had a wet dream the night before his fight.’
“I said, ‘No f**king way.’ I had a wet dream the day of the KSI fight… Essentially what you do is you don’t release in order to build up that testosterone in your body to make you angry f**king fighter.”
Jake then admitted he panicked when he realized what had happened.
“I f**ked myself, literally, over,” he remarked. “I don’t actually even remember the dream. I literally woke up in a panic, like, ‘F**k, f**k, f**k, f**k.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god.’
“You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy, it knows in your mind, ‘This is not good.’
“I f**ked myself. But yeah it makes your legs weak. For the viewers, that’s why it’s bad, it makes your legs weak.”
“I think it’s one of many reasons,” he replied when asked if the wet dream was the reason he lost.
Jake has called for a rematch as he says he felt he fought well enough to at least earn a draw, pointing out that he did floor Fury during the match, but wants the results to be decided by something more definitive if there is another fight between them in the future.
