The boxing world is no stranger to drama, but this latest development has everyone’s jaws on the canvas. Jake Paul, the YouTube sensation turned boxer, recently found himself in a legal slugfest. His opponent is none other than Eddie Hearn, the smooth-talking British boxing promoter with a penchant for sharp suits and even sharper comebacks.
Paul accused Hearn of bribing Judge Glen Feldman after a fighter he had signed lost. Hearn, never one to back down from a fight, decided to counter with a legal uppercut in the form of a $100 million lawsuit. Fast forward to today, and a New York judge has ordered Paul to appear in court on October 16th.
“The reports came out today because it was documented in court that he tried to get the case dismissed and it was ruled against him. It proceeds on October 16th, it’s an unfortunate position to be in. But it’s not something that I’m prepared to let slide. What he said was unacceptable and detrimental to my reputation and our business,” said Hearn via Boxing King Media
The story goes like this: Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano duked it out in a historic bout at Madison Square Garden back in 2022. Taylor, Eddie Hearn’s golden girl, walked away with a split-decision victory. But Paul, who was promoting Serrano at the time, wasn’t about to take this lying down and made those comments.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has tried to get the case dismissed, but the judge wasn’t having any of it. Meanwhile, Paul is gearing up for his fight against Mike Tyson on November 15th. He now is facing not one, but two opponents in a short span of time.

Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn’s golden boy, recently took a tumble against Daniel Dubois. De La Hoya, never one to miss a chance to throw shade, pounced. He commented that the British promoter did not even have a single good fighter. But Hearn wasn’t about to take that lying down and he came out swinging.
“Canelo left him [De La Hoya] a long time ago. Ryan Garcia, God knows how that’s going to play out. Jaime Munguia has left Oscar De La Hoya, gone to Top Rank. He’s put Barboza in with Ramirez. Who cares?” said Hearn via Boxing Social.
Oscar De La Hoya got an earful from the British promoter. But Eddie Hearn has got his own fish to fry. The upcoming Dmitry Bivol vs. Artue Beterbiev fight is looming large, and he has to focus his energy there while the spat with ‘The Golden Boy’ waits.
