Jake Paul passed the biggest test of his boxing career on Sunday in front of a hometown crowd.
The YouTube star turned boxer won a eight-round split decision against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and improved to 4-0.
Following the fight, LeBron James took to Twitter and spoke about the matchup that happened at his hometown.
After his win, Paul had to fight back tears when he was told about the tweet.
“I was in those stands 12 years ago screaming ‘LeBron! LeBron! LeBron!’ trying to get him to notice me, so for him to even tweet about this, that’s crazy.

I’m being really hard on myself, but I accomplished so much in the past four fights, no one’s doing this. I’m trying not to cry, for him to even tweet that, that’s crazy.”
As far as Woodley, despite rocking Paul in the 4th round, he spent most of the fight stalking Paul and loading up on his right hand. It just wasn’t enough, but he still felt like he won the bout.
He immediately asked for a rematch, to which Paul responded by saying if Woodley gets a “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo they could do it.
“He’s a tough opponent,” Paul said after the fight. “It was a tougher fight than I expected. Legs felt weird since the locker room. All respect to Tyron. He’s a hall of famer. He put up a good fight.”
