Well-known social media star and boxer Jake Paul is the center of yet another controversy.
Paul recently purchased a luxurious mansion in Puerto Rico for the mammoth price tag of $16 million. An interesting in-depth study by independent reporter Bianca Graulau has shed light on an issue for the general public.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Graulau explained that Paul’s eight-bedroom mansion makes commuting to the beach more difficult for the general public to access (h/t Manjit Sarmah of Sportskeeda):
“Now all beaches in Puerto Rico are supposed to be public, they belong to the people of Puerto Rico. It doesn’t matter if you make as much money as Jake Paul or if you make minimum wage. Everyone’s supposed to have equal access to every beach in Puerto Rico. That means that there’s supposed to be a path from the road all the way to the beach, even if what stands in between is private property, but that, of course, is not being respected…
The nearest entry point is more than a mile away. You have to walk all the way… over rocks. So access becomes nearly impossible. So In practice, these become private beaches only accessible to the people who buy all those multi-million dollar houses.”

Paul purchased the home from St. Louis Cardinals’ legend and former All-Star catcher Yadier Molina. Per TMZ, the eight-bedroom home also features as many full bathrooms, two one-half washrooms plus its own fitness center and pool.
