About a week ago, we brought you a story about Logan Paul’s famous Pokemon ‘1st Edition’ sealed case, and how it might be fake. It was especially a big deal considering Paul had paid $3.5 million dollars for it not too long ago.
Despite the high price tag and the fact that it was authenticated by the Baseball Card Exchange (who admittedly didn’t know much about Pokemon cards), many in the Pokemon community were pointing out several flaws that suggested the case was a fake.
With the word spreading like wildfire that Logan’s case may be fake, he, @shyne150 (who he bought the case from), and The Poke Jew headed to Chicago to meet up with the people of Baseball Card Exchange to find out once and for all if this Pokemon ‘1st Edition’ case was real or fake.

Things looked somewhat promising for a second, as there were Pokemon boxes in the case. But it didn’t take long for the crew to realize that they were fake. And once they were sure the boxes were fakes based on the poor quality of the outside, they ripped one open to find…
G.I. Joe cards. Seriously. Someone made some fake Pokemon boxes and filled them with G.I. Joe cards.
Shyne assured Logan that he would refund him if the case was indeed fake, and you can bet that Shyne will be going back to the dude who he bought the case from to have a word with him. And don’t be surprised if legal authorities get involved as well, as this is not your average trading card purchase. There’s millions of dollars involved here. Someone could be doing some hard time for this.
