After defeating Anthony Joshua twice, the relentless Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk seems unstoppable. He has now accepted the possibility of a trilogy fight against Joshua. Meanwhile, AJ has suffered three losses in his professional career, with two of them handed to him by Usyk. Despite this, Usyk appears keen on facing Joshua for a third time.
Moreover, Usyk credited Joshua for helping him gain more recognition, noting that AJ’s big following and fame elevated his own. The Ukrainian boxer said:
“I don’t particularly want any rematches, but when we beat Tyson Fury for the second time and when Anthony Joshua beats Daniel Dubois, of course they will want to do a third fight. From my point of view I have no right to deny Anthony a third fight because he gave me two incredible fights.”
He continued by saying, “Anthony helped me become even more famous in the world. Anthony did it. And if it happens with God’s help, then I am ready for a third fight with Anthony.”
‘The Cat’ did mention the possibility of a rematch, but there are conditions attached. The rematch will only happen if he defeats Tyson Fury for the second time. Moreover, if Joshua beats Daniel Dubois, he’ll likely push for a third fight. Although Usyk won the first two bouts against AJ, the third fight isn’t confirmed yet.
