The sport of boxing has been genuinely entertaining this calendar year. Anthony Joshua knocked out MMA superstar Francis Ngannou in the ring. Whereas, Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world after beating Tyson Fury in twelve rounds. Recently, English starlet Anthony Joshua sent the boxing community into a frenzy after he lashed out at former champion Tyson Fury.
Anthony Joshua Lashes Out at Tyson Fury
Joshua has enjoyed considerable success in the ring lately. He is on an impressive four-fight win streak. He was ringside to witness his countryman Tyson Fury taking on Oleksandr Usyk in the ring. Usyk ended Fury’s unbeaten run in the professional circuit and became the first undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world in twenty-five years. However, Joshua revealed that he enjoyed witnessing Fury’s loss.
He made it clear that he is certainly not a fan of Tyson Fury and was pleasantly surprised when he lost his belts. He dwelled on Tyson Fury’s bullying personality and attempts to put down his rivals, just like he tried to get into Oleksandr Usyk’s head before the bout.
I’m glad Fury isn’t the undisputed champion. I’ve always said he’s an idiot, he’s very disrespectful… He has to step on people to make himself feel good. The way he disrespected Usyk, ‘rabbit’ this and ‘middleweight’ that. It’s not good for the sport. If I respect you and you respect me we can lift this sport up and make people think we are two of the most elite fighters in the world. But Fury will step on you and make you look like a guy who’s just walked out of a pub. Then he goes and gets spanked, he deserves it.
Anthony Joshua revealed that boxing is a gentleman’s game and that it’s all about respect. The Englishman is usually calm and rarely pokes his opponent off the ring. The London native will want to regain his Heavyweight titles in the future. With Fury and Usyk all set to clash in the ring again later this year, it is obvious who will Anthony back.
