This Saturday, boxing fans witnessed yet another solid fight. Jaron Ennis and David Avanesyan offered an intense welterweight title fight. Regarding the matchup, Avanesyan couldn’t continue after the sixth round due to the damage he took, and Ennis raised his hand. Like always, many fans must be wondering how much money the boxers earned from their match.
Ennis silenced doubters in his first IBF welterweight title defense after the Terence Crawford fight. Notably, his comeback fight after a three-year break landed him his biggest payday yet, pocketing around $3.3 million, as reported by ‘The Sportster.’ However, these figures are rough estimates and hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, although Avanesyan had a tough fight, he won’t go home empty-handed. As per the same reports, he reportedly earned $585k from the fight, but that amount fell short of his opponent’s earnings. While it’s less payday in the Boxing realm, this is what big UFC fighters earn after a lot of hype around the event. And now it seems that Ennis has made himself big with this win and might get a lucrative fight in Saudi Arabia.
