Dalton Smith entered the squared circle last night against Jose Zepeda. In what was considered to be Smith’s toughest test inside the squared circle, he dazzled through an emphatic victory.
Going into the fight, Smith boasted a record of 15-0 while Zepeda held a record of 37-4. As one would expect, the 27-year-old was a considerable favorite going into the bout as well. When the two finally locked horns at the Sheffield Arena last night, it was Smith who looked like the much better fighter.
After pushing the pace and controlling the fight for the majority of the first four rounds, Dalton Smith ended up securing a stoppage victory in the fifth round and further extended his undefeated record. As Smith secured the victory, many have been left wondering about how much money did he make from the fight.
It is worth noting that the official purse for the fight has not been revealed as of yet. However, Smith has earned roughly $200,000-$300,000 in his previous fights. As a result, it is believed that his payout from his fight against Jose Zepeda would’ve been in a similar range.
