Jake Paul, the YouTube sensation turned boxer, has been making waves in the fight game. Love him or hate him, the fact can’t be denied that he’s grabbed the boxing world’s attention. With his brash personality and surprising skills, Paul has become a polarizing figure in sports.
The 27-year-old Ohio native first rose to fame through social media platforms. His transition from internet celebrity to professional boxer raised many eyebrows initially. Critics dismissed calling him a gimmick, but Paul has been determined to prove them wrong. Since his professional debut in 2020, he’s been steadily building his boxing resume.
Paul has faced a mix of opponents, from fellow YouTubers to former MMA fighters and professional boxers. His dedication to training and improving his craft has been evident with each fight. His professional record stands at 9 wins with just one loss.
Jake Paul’s Wins Via Knockouts In His Professional Boxing Career
Out of his nine professional wins, six have come by way of a knockout. That’s a pretty impressive KO ratio for someone once dismissed as a mere influencer. Paul’s first technical knockout victim was fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib, aka AnEsonGib, in January 2020. He followed that up by flattening former NBA player Nate Robinson in November 2020.
Paul’s most significant TKO came against former MMA champion Ben Askren. In the first round, he sent Askren to the canvas with a thunderous right hand. Askren got up, but the referee stopped the contest. This victory silenced many critics who doubted Paul could hang with “real” fighters.
Another highlight-reel knockout came in his rematch with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in December 2021. In the first match, Paul won via a split decision. Paul’s face-plant punch left Woodley unconscious on the ropes. It was a statement win that proved his first victory over Woodley wasn’t a fluke.

Another KO victory came against Andre August in December 2023. Paul unleashed a vicious uppercut that sent August crashing to the canvas. It was a reminder that ‘The Problem Child’ carries legitimate power in his hands. His most recent TKO victory was over Ryan Bourland. He stopped him with a flurry of punches in the first round.
Jake Paul will next face Mike Perry on July 20, 2024. It will be interesting to see if ‘The Problem Child’ will claim his seventh win via knockout in Tampa, Florida.
