The boxing scene isn’t just about the fights; it also has drama and controversy. Time and again, boxers and promoters find themselves embroiled in disputes. Recently, middleweight star Chris Eubank Jr. grabbed attention during the press conference for the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol fight, calling major promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn “scumbags.” In response, the 72-year-old Warren has taken matters into his own hands, threatening to sue Eubank Jr. for his remarks.
After Eubank Jr. called out big names during the press conference in Saudi Arabia, Warren, sitting right behind him, looked visibly upset. Following the drama, the Queensberry Promotor addressed the situation on talkSPORT, vowing to pursue legal action against Eubank Jr. for his comments.
He stated, “He was sued by me for a legal breach of a contract. I was successful in suing him and he paid substantial damages. Regarding what he’s just said, I’m gonna keep it short and sweet. He’s gonna get sued again.”
Warren made it clear that Eubank Jr. is facing a lawsuit and will have serious legal issues as a result. He indicated that anyone else who makes similar statements will also be subject to legal action. Warren shows confidence in the legal process. He stresses that Eubank Jr. must back his claims or face consequences. Furthermore, he assured that Eubank would hear from him soon regarding the matter. And he did reply with an apology.
