Frank Gore is making the leap from professional football player to professional boxer, and things couldn’t
The former San Francisco 49ers running back and potential Hall of Famer defeated Yaya Olorunsola via a brutal fourth-round knockout in his professional boxing debut on Saturday. The bout took place at Gamebred Boxing 1 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Gore left Olorunsola, who entered with an 0-1 pro boxing record, unconscious on the floor.
The NFL’s third all-time leading rusher, Gore announced recently that his football days would officially be coming to a close soon.
The 16-year NFL veteran, who played for five teams, had 16,000 yards rushing in his career, which falls behind only Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton in the league history books.

This was Gore’s professional debut in the boxing ring, but not his first boxing match, nor his most high-profile bout.
