The gloves are off, and the punches aren’t just in the ring. In light of this fact, the boxing world is heating up, with Oscar De La Hoya grilling everyone from Canelo Alvarez to other big names. After taking several verbal jabs from De La Hoya, Eddie Hearn couldn’t hold back any longer, clapping back with a savage comeback about Golden Boy losing all his top talent. The beef is sizzling and doesn’t look like it’s cooling down anytime soon!
Recently, De La Hoya released a video taking shots at his rival Hearn. In the video, he called Matchroom Boxing the biggest curse for fighters, stating that signing with them means they’re either destined to lose or get injured. He added that to make things worse, Hearn even confronted his old buddy Devin Haney in the crowd at Wembley. Additionally, as per Hoya, Hearn made a mess of Anthony Joshua’s career, despite him having the world at his fingertips.
Meanwhile, Hearn responded by calling De La Hoya a strange person. Adding to that, he expressed his dislike for how Golden Boy pretends to be happy while hiding negative feelings. In light of the fact that his promotion has lost all its big fighters, he claimed that Golden Boy is done now.
He stated, “He’s lost all his fighters, and I think he’s hurting. Canelo is obviously gone. Jaime Munguia, he pretends that he hasn’t gone, but he’s gone to Top Rank. Vergil Ortiz, you saw his crowd against [Serhii] Bohachuk. Ryan Garcia is out for a year. Golden Boy is done.”
Eddie Hearn Says Turki Alalshikh Wants Joshua vs Dubois 2

Now, according to Matchroom promoter, His Excellency wants a Joshua vs. Dubois rematch after their first fight ended brutally for AJ.
In an interview with TalkSports, Hearn stated, “Our meetings with His Excellency, he wants the rematch. AJ will always want the rematch. Daniel wants the rematch, too. It’s the biggest fight for him and they will fancy it.”
