Last month, boxing fans experienced one of the most crucial bouts in recent memory as Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol battled for the undisputed light heavyweight title. Although there were uncertainties surrounding a rematch, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has now confirmed that it will take place, fueled by interest from Saudi Arabia.
Hearn has confirmed that the highly anticipated rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol is officially on. The Matchroom boss revealed that His Excellency Alalshik had given the green light for the fight to happen after the two light-heavyweights delivered a classic bout earlier this month.
“His Excellency has told us the rematch is on. So, we’ll wait for the final confirmation of that,” Hearn told Fight TV.
After their fight, fans found themselves divided over whether Bivol had secured the win. Speculation soon arose in the boxing community that both fighters might choose to go their separate ways and seek out other matchups rather than face each other again. But now, with Hearn confirming the possibility of the fight, there’s no doubt fans are excited to see how this intense rivalry plays out in the ring.
Artur Beterbiev Isn’t Hyped About Dmitry Bivol’s Rematch
Hearn said the Saudis are eyeing a rematch, but Beterbiev isn’t too enthusiastic about it. He stated that talking about a rematch seems pointless since their last fight was straightforward. While he’s open to considering a solid offer, Beterbiev feels there’s no real justification for a sequel fight.
In his words, “In my opinion, there is no point in talking about a rematch. Of course, if an interesting offer comes along, we will consider it. But is there any reason for a rematch? Everything was clear (in the fight).”

If Turki is involved, there’s no doubt the offer will be anything but massive. He’s known for sparing no expense on matches he sees as big, and considering the scale of this one, he’ll likely go all out.
