Jake Paul had been riding on his boxing winning streak as the social-media-influencer-turned-boxer has his toughest test to date in the former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
The time for trash talking was finally over as the two squared off in the ring.
Woodley came in making his professional boxing debut as he entered the contest on a four-fight losing streak. The setbacks were against current 170-pound titlist Kamaru Usman, former title challengers Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington, and rising contender Vicente Luque.
First round did not have much action as Woodley threw only six punches as both fighters were trying to feel each other out. His second round wasn’t much better. In the fourth round, Woodley caught Jake Paul with a vicious right hand that had him in the ropes, but Paul survived.
In Paul’s 3rd fight in nine months, he recovered nicely and shocked the world when he was declared the winner after 8 rounds against Woodley.
