Bare-knuckle fighting has a separate fanbase. The sport’s violent nature has attracted many fans. With Conor McGregor as a new part owner of BKFC, its fame will likely grow even further. However, the co-main event of the promotion’s recent event, BKFC 62, is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
Kai Stewart defended the featherweight title in the main event against Bryan Duran, a Cuban fighter. However, Alberto Blas, another Cuban, dethroned Keith Richardson, the bantamweight champion, in the co-main event. After the referee waived the fight off, chaos ensued.

Referee Sam Burgos waived off the fight at 1 minute 10 seconds of the first round. It was a standing TKO. Blas went on to celebrate his victory. On the other hand, a dazed and confused Richardson began to throw punches at the referee, possibly mistaking the referee for Blas.

With the loss to Blas, Keith Richardson suffered his first professional bare-knuckle defeat. On the other hand, Alberto Blas kept his undefeated record intact in the sport. Blas was a slight favorite going into the fight, and his performance showed why.
Blas’ performance also impressed Conor McGregor, who tweeted his admiration for the Cuban. McGregor praised Blas’ accuracy while giving props to Richardson, a former marine, who showed immense toughness. McGregor had earlier lauded Kai Stewart, the featherweight BKFC champion.
