Adrian Broner and Gervonta Davis were reportedly involved in a fistfight just before Canelo Alvarez’s clash with Sergey Kovalev.
Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated sent social media into a frenzy when he reported that Adrian Broner and Gervonta Davis traded blows outside of Canelo Alvarez’s locker room before his big match.
““Sources: Adrien Broner and Gervonta Davis got into a fistfight outside of Canelo’s locker room before the fight. Broner hit Davis with a huge punch, per witnesses, and then hit Davis’s pr guy with a haymaker.”
On Sunday morning, Gervonta took to Twitter and seemed to be confused on the situation that he got into a fight with Broner.
If this actually did happen, it would mark the first time since January that Broner has thrown a punch, as he gotten beaten by Manny Pacquiao for the fourth defeat of his career. Davis is unbeaten in his 22-fight career, with his next fight to be against Yuriorkis Gamboa in December for the vacant WBA (Regular) lightweight title.
