54-year-old Riddick Bowe will thankfully not be competing in a boxing match next month after he was scheduled to make his return and face former NBA player Lamar Odom in one of the many circus fights that are being booked during this current era of celebrity/legend fights.
The former world undisputed heavyweight champion, who ended his pro career with a record 43-1 (1 NC), recently uploaded footage of himself training and it was so disturbing that something had to be done.
Bowe will remain “part of the event,” but not as a boxer.
Bowe vs. Odom is being promoted by an outfit named Official Celebrity Boxing. The event is scheduled for October 2 in Miami, FL.
The commission overseeing this potential fight is the same that was in charge of Triller’s event that saw 58-year-old Evander Holyfield take a quick standing TKO loss to former UFC champion Vitor Belfort.

Lamar Odom is still scheduled to fight on the October 2nd card, with a replacement opponent not yet confirmed.
