Shohei Ohtani is unquestionably one of the best MLB players of his time. The two-way star won his first World Series title with the Los Angeles Dodgers and is on his way to win more. Ohtani’s fame has spread widely across the baseball world, and his fan base keeps growing.

The Japanese star’s exceptional performance has made him famous. Surprisingly, Shohei Ohtani’s dog, Decoy, has also become pretty famous. The Dodgers star was seen with his dog every now and then. Ohtani had even brought Decoy to the field on his Bobblehead night.

MLB fans are well aware of Ohtani’s dog, but some feel that the league is promoting him way too much. Recently, MLB shared a post on X asking fans to find Decoy among the faces of several other MLB stars. Some fans lashed out at the league for the video they posted on X.

Shohei Ohtani Gets Invite From UFC Star Kai Asakura

Shohei Ohtani seems to be enjoying the offseason before he gets ready for another run in 2025. Recently, Ohtani received an invitation from UFC star Kai Asakura. The Japanese fighter said he has never met Ohtani and he would love it for him to come and see his bout for the Flyweight Division title.

Asakura is keen on winning the title, and his invitation to Ohtani is open. However, it’s unsure if the Dodgers star will attend the fight. The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dodgers fans are eagerly waiting for Ohtani to start pitching in 2025. The slugger had a historic 50-50 season with the Dodgers in 2024 and won his third NL MVP Award. Ohtani is currently seeking ownership of $325,000 in baseball cards allegedly bought by his former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara.
