Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, but his long-term in the future isn’t exactly as clear as fans would like it to be.
It’s well-known that the four-time MVP has considered retirement in the past. But in the offseason, he seemingly put retirement on long-term hold by signing a mammoth three-year extension worth $150 million.

Rodgers, who turns 39 in December, hasn’t given any indication that he’s indeed planning to call it quits after this season. His aforementioned $150 million extension greatly suggests that he isn’t ready to retire any time soon.
This is only a rumor, of course, and it hasn’t been confirmed by other major media outlets or reporters. But as previously noted, Rodgers did consider retiring after his third MVP-winning season in 2020.
The future Hall of Famer requested a trade after the 2020 season due to apparent frustration with GM Brian Gutekunst and the front office. He ultimately walked back on the trade request and decided to return to Titletown.
