However, one player on the team would see his time on the field end after being ejected from the game.
Wide receiver Jimmy Calloway became enraged at an Akron defender and decided to throw several punches at him during a play.
Calloway, a redshirt sophomore at Tennessee, was promptly ejected.
The Vols are now 3-0 to start the season and have a big matchup with the Florida Gators next week.
