Manti Te’o never wanted one chapter to define his whole life story, but the very mention of his name brings people back to one story only.
In the years following an infamous catfishing scandal that rocked the sports world, Te’o decided to finally speak out about the incident in a huge way. Earlier this week, a Netflix documentary focusing on the catfishing of former Notre Dame star Manti Te’o was released.
The former college football star’s girlfriend allegedly passed away from cancer. We would later find out that the person never existed.
Te’o eventually found real love in his wife Jovi Nicole, whom he wed in 2020.
Te’o’s wife, Jovi, took to Instagram after the documentary and let the world know she existed as he spoke about being married.

Elsewhere in the interview, Te’o shared that he and Jovi are expecting a son.
Jovi, who is working towards becoming a nurse, also supported Te’o during his time with the Chargers, the team that selected the Heisman Trophy nominee in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
