Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is seeking a new long-term deal this offseason and he has definitely been putting in the work to earn it.
Appearing on the NFL Network over the weekend, Jackson talked about his training and how he has added 20-25 pounds of muscle since the end of last season.
Although he plays quarterback, the strength of Jackson’s game is his running as well as his ability to extend plays with his legs. Ravens fans are hoping this added bulk does not affect his running game and also that this will help Lamar with his durability.
Jackson missed five games in total in 2021, including the final four games of the season due to injury.
If the Ravens plan to contend this upcoming season in a loaded AFC, they will need their quarterback to stay healthy and regain the form from 2019 when he was named unanimously as NFL MVP.
