JJ Watt learned a valuable lesson from his wife on just how hard her sport is.
The 33-year-old defensive end is massive and could do just about anything on the field of play, but that’s in football, not soccer.
The Arizona Cardinals defensive end, who married pro soccer player Kealia Ohai in February of 2020, recently revealed that he tried his hand at soccer and it did not work out very well.
What matters worse is that he told his wife that he could play the sport after a year of training and she laughed in his face.
After asking for his release from the Texans, watt would go on to sign with the Cardinals. Watt appeared in all 16 games for the Texans in 2020 and recorded 52 tackles, five sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles, a recovery, a defensive touchdown, and seven passes defended.
In 2021, Watt appeared in seven games for the Cardinals and recorded 16 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, and two pass deflections.
