One day after Miles Bridges was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Los Angeles, his wife, Mychelle Johnson, posted photos and a video to Instagram showing bruises, scratches, and signs of other injuries.
The 24-year-old was taken into custody Wednesday and released on $130,000 bail.
In her Instagram post Thursday, Johnson said that she couldn’t “be silent anymore” and that she wouldn’t “allow the people around him to continue to silence me and continue to lie to protect this person.”
“I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life,” she wrote. “I have nothing to prove to the world, but I won’t allow anyone who could do something so horrible to have no remorse and paint a picture of something I’m not.”
Despite her obvious injuries, there were apparently some people still in the corner of Bridges’ and that rubbed Jada Rice the wrong way.
The daughter of NFL hall of fame legend Jerry Rice took to her Instagram story and blasted those people.
“There are men in the comments still rooting for this man. Ladies stay strapped like I said. A lot of misogynistic homoeroticism going on.”

“They’re like “he will be a successful anyway, fuck women.” Even though the story would be different had it been their mother, daughter, or sister. Do better…”
The Hornets released a statement on Thursday. “The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges,” it reads. “We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Bridges was most recently a forward for the Charlotte Hornets. He appeared in 80 games during the 2021-22 season and is a restricted free agent.
