Chris Broussard Shocks Fans Implying Canada Treats Black People Badly When Explaining Why Kevin Durant Should Avoid Raptors (VIDEO)

Chris Broussard made some damning claims about Canada while discussing Kevin Durant and where he might end up.

Raptors President Masai Ujiri has put his team in the front and center of the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, but the idea of Durant landing with the raptors did not sit well with FOX Sports broadcaster Chris Broussard. In a recent episode of First Things First, he explained some of the negatives about living there.

“Great city, but it’s not America and you feel it when you’re there,” Chris Broussard said on Monday’s edition of First Things First. “Especially as an African American, it’s a different situation than African Americans are used to being in. I’ve talked to people in that organization pre-Ujiri about can they keep African American superstars there?”

Ujiri has taken big risks in the past which include trading for Kawhi Leonard for one season, but it resulted in an NBA Championship.

As of Monday morning, Toronto owned the second-best odds to land Durant from the Brooklyn Nets, per DraftKings. The Raptors stood at +250, trailing only the Phoenix Suns at -130.

The Raptors have star players on pricy deals that could be used for salary-matching purposes in Pascal Siakam or Fred VanVleet. If they wanted to, they could also offer one or both of Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby.

Toronto also has its full slate of first-round draft picks to offer.

Things are going to get really interesting over the new few weeks.
