It seems like every month we’re seeing a new, record-breaking sale in the sports memorabilia world. And based on some recent news from Goldin Auctions, it appears as though there’s a good chance that the trend will continue into the summer.
According to a recent announcement, one of the most highly-coveted sports cards ever created is set to hit the market today. The extremely sought-after 2020 Panini Flawless LeBron James Triple Logoman will be put up for sale at Goldin Auctions, with the auction set to run until June 25.
Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions, made the announcement yesterday on social media.
Some of the biggest names in the sports memorabilia world had been ripping open $20,000 boxes of 2020 Flawless basketball just to get their hands on what many are calling the “Biggest Modern Day Sports Card,” or the “Holy Grail of Sports Cards.”
The card was pulled roughly a month ago on an online break, and now many believe it could fetch a record amount on the auction block. In fact, there’s a strong belief that the card could break the previous sports card record of $6.6-million — which is how much the coveted T206 Honus Wagner baseball card sold for in August of last year.

Who knows? Maybe it could even approach the $9.28-million that someone paid for Diego Maradona’s game-worn jersey that he scored the “Hand Of God” goal in against England at the 1986 World Cup — which still stands as a record for most expensive piece of sports memorabilia ever sold.
The LeBron James Triple Logoman features three NBA logos on the face of the card. Each is from a game-worn jersey of LeBron — one from each of the three teams he’s played for in his career, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. The card is a “one-of-one,” meaning it’s the only one of its kind created.
The card won’t be the first multi-million dollar piece of basketball memorabilia to sell this month. Just this weekend, a Kobe Bryant game-worn jersey from his rookie season sold for $2.735-million.
Here are a couple of photos of the LeBron James Triple Logoman, a.k.a. “The Modern Basketball Grail.”
