It’s a big offseason for the Charlotte Hornets as they continue to look for a new head coach and also have one of its top players, Miles Bridges, set to hit the free-agent market.
He may have made the decision easier for them with his latest actions on social media.
The 24-year-old Charlotte Hornets player posted on his Instagram Stories featuring a joint and a styrofoam cup with pink/purple-ish colored liquid inside.
He would soon take to Twitter and responded to the uproar. “Pink lemonade,” Bridges wrote, apparently in attempt to dispel speculation that has since bubbled up online that the drink contained codeine. The Hornets player also ended up deleting the tweet.
Bridges took a massive leap this past season as he went from averaging 12.7 points in 66 games (19 starts) to 20.2 points in 80 games (80 starts).

Prior to the start of the season, Bridges and his agent, Rich Paul, turned down the Hornets’ offer for a four-year, $60 million contract extension. It’s safe to say that he will be making significantly more money than that unless teams get turned off by his off-the-court activities.
