DK Metcalf just might be staying put in Seattle.
Trade rumors surrounding Metcalf have persisted this offseason, with the Seahawks reportedly turning down lucrative trade offers from the Jets. Star wide receivers have not only been traded, but they’ve been paid this offseason.
The 24-year-old Metcalf is entering the final year of his rookie contract, but if his comments are any indicator, he’ll be in Seattle catching passes from Drew Lock for a lot longer than that.
Speaking on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast with Shannon Sharpe, Metcalf made it clear that it seems as though his future is going to be in the Pacific northwest.
“I will say, we’re gonna get something done,” Metcalf said. “I think I’m gonna be in Seattle for the next coming years.”
Metcalf had 75 receptions for 967 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns in 2021. He made the Pro Bowl in 2020 and was a Second-Team All-Pro selection that year.

Who knows, the Seahawks just might bring in another QB like Jimmy G or Baker Mayfield to make this rebuild a little more tolerable for everybody involved.
