Round One of the NFL Draft is not only a life-changing moment for the lucky young men who hear their names announced by commissioner Roger Goodell. It can also be a big night for family, friends, and significant others who are lucky (or unlucky) enough to steal the spotlight during those few seconds when it shines on them.
Just look at Aiden Hutchinson’s mom, who’s been blowing up on social media ever since her son was taken by the Detroit Lions with the second overall pick.
She wasn’t the only female to go viral tonight in Las Vegas.
There was also Reese Damm, girlfriend of former Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton. She was seen engaging in an epic handshake with her man after he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 14th overall pick.
Some were impressed by Reese and Kyle’s choreography, as they applauded the couple for nailing their handshake during the important moment.

However, there were also plenty of people on Twitter who were having NONE of the handshake. One Twitter user even went so far as to call it “cringy.” Harsh? Probably, but since when has Twitter been a kind, gentle place?
When you do things like this, you’ve got to expect the haters to come at you.
