Fake UCLA Coach Exposed for Offering Scholarships To College Football Recruits (TWEET)

Some people truly have no shame whatsoever.

A flurry of new UCLA football scholarship offers went out recently, but none of them actually came from the football program.

Several recruits were completely duped when they received UCLA offers from a fake UCLA football coach.

Jacob Allen, a Class of 2022 outside linebacker prospect from Florida, took to Twitter and reported that he was the victim of the alleged catfish.

Just to spread awareness, a fake UCLA coach is offering kids. I was one of them. I can’t believe someone would actually do this to guys who have worked so hard for their dreams. The last few days were troublesome for the Bruins after Chip Kelly’s name came up as possibly returning to Oregon, but the Ducks quieted that down by hiring Georgia’s Dan Lanning. From 2009 to 2012 with Oregon, Kelly went 46-7.

Kelly has just one year left on the five-year contract he signed with the Bruins back in November 2017, and the final year starts Jan. 15, 2022.

Kelly has gone 18-25 in four years with the Bruins, leading them to their first bowl this December after three straight losing seasons to kick off his tenure.
