Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers run as the guest on Jeopardy! is over, but now another sports figure will be making a guest appearance this year.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, FOX broadcaster Joe Buck will be a celebrity guest host for Jeopardy!. Marchand believes that Buck’s stint as the host of Jeopardy! will begin in the middle of summer.
Not only that, Buck will be trying out for the permanent job, according to Marchand.
“Joe Buck will be a guest host on ‘Jeopardy!’ putting him in contention for the coveted permanent job, The Post has learned,” Marchand wrote. “Buck’s episodes are expected to air at some point in the mid-summer, according to sources. Guest hosts have done one- or two-week stints. No word yet on how long Buck will be on. The tryout will not impact Buck’s schedule as the voice of MLB and the NFL on Fox.”
The 51-year old broadcaster is the longtime voice of the NFL on FOX and MLB on FOX.
In his illustrous career, Buck is a seven-time Sports Emmy Award winner, six for play-by-play duties and one for being a studio host. The legend is also a three-time NSMA National Sportscaster of the Year.
